She came out of the fire
she had been waiting for me.
Heat blasting through my brain,
whirling around as she called my name.
Holding out her hand and asking
"Do you know the answer?"
I held my breath, heart beating fast
knowing she would tell me but not
wanting to know.
She laughed and danced as flames shot high.
I Heard her answer echo into the sky.
You! she said with hair of fire,
You! she laughed as flames shot higher.
I closed my eyes to the heat,
looked again quickly but she was gone.
Felt the hotness of her presence.
Afterwards the flame burned in my mind
knowing she would return.
Burning into my soul with another answer.
