She came out of the fire
she had been waiting for me.
Heat blasting through my brain,
whirling around as she called my name.
Holding out her hand and asking
"Do you know the answer?"

I held my breath, heart beating fast
knowing she would tell me but not
wanting to know.
She laughed and danced as flames shot high.
I Heard her answer echo into the sky.

You! she said with hair of fire,
You! she laughed as flames shot higher.

I closed my eyes to the heat,
looked again quickly but she was gone.
Felt the hotness of her presence.
Afterwards the flame burned in my mind
knowing she would return.
Burning into my soul with another answer.

So another year gone by, a few more gray hairs on my head and hopefully a bit wiser. Today I am 53, Crone and teacher to some. So what have I learned. I did survive my husband's death. I did survive foot surgery again. The seasons still change even though I hate winter. I learned to live with my disabilities better. I learned to love more. Surgery Update

The surgery went well according to the doctor. He removed the hardware and said everything looks great inside. I only have to keep the bandage and wrapping on for two days! Then I can walk on my foot compared to eight months in a cast when the hardware went in. So still sitting with my foot elevated on a pillow. Watching TV and of course getting caught up on emails. Tomorrow is the day the stuff comes off, just got to keep stitches clean and dry till they come out next week.

Wonderful News!!!!

A dear friend of mine that I have never met in person believe it or not just asked me to do her handfasting! She lives about 100 miles away and when I have time to visit she is working or in school and when she has time to visit I'm working. Never could hook up. Well I am going to do this, never have done one but I am so honored that she asked ME!

Peace and Calm

Because of my beliefs I do rituals during certain times of the year. Spring Equinox is one of them. It is a symbol of new beginnings, new starts. Getting rid of old habits and pain.
